So I have been doing my best to maintain my own public blog for a little while now because, I don’t know, I guess this is how I deal with my vanity. I envisioned it as a professional looking thing to put on my resume, something that collects every thing that I have ever written in a single place. It’s fun. I’m going to try to do this forever, or until I realize what a shameful mistake I’ve made.

Good journalism is about organization. It’s about strategically presenting “pure information” (as pure as you can give, anyway) in a way that appeals to the reader’s emotion - a way that touches them enough to persuade them to change their mind about something.
